Nourishment Beats
In the stillness
I can hear,
Angel hearts beat —
Nourishing my soul
One song at a time.

Crispy Cry
Crispy red fire blaze,
burning blackened sky,
as my soul’s cries join the night.

My Chains are Gone! | Authspot. A spiritual verse by Margaret Alden:
A desire for the much more.
Margaret and I decided to try something different and created a chain of poetry. We decided to see what we would come up with if one of us wrote a poem and then the other wrote what poetry that might inspire in us. Then the other would do so – and-so-on…
Since it was my idea I wrote the first idea. We decided I might start with a poem inspired by a “colour”. Perhaps because I am rather taken with starting the day with a Haiku I instinctively wrote a Haiku and started with my poem “Green, Life in the Raw”.
This led to this 10 poem chain:
We each have our own style and so the poems while inspired by each other are very different from each other and cover a broad spectrum of topics.
I hope you enjoy this project. We plan to do it again some time in the future.

Take a dip into creativity.
Love being splashed by ripples of living water.
Reminding me that nothing is impossible for God.
Fresh possibilities feeding me creative embers
That are near death, smoldering within my soul.

Creativity dribbles from my soul in spurts of creativity sometimes.
Words dribble off the gold trimmed page
Like treacle.
Some portions have a darker tinge
Due to the struggle
Creativity finds in soaring.

Many distractions try to inhibit or completely cut off my creative impulses – but I know that my creativity is a God given Holy Spirit inspired gift, that God has given me to compensate for the struggles I have had to face within my life’s journey.
Weeds have their anorexic knuckles
Clasped around my melancholy neck.
Ready to wrench my head clean off my body –
In a vane attempt to stop
My creativity flowing through my extremities –
Because it knows my soul needs to stoke
The fire of passion to do more than just exist.
Oh weeds loosen your death grasp.
My passion fire is too strong.
Words nourish my soul.

Colours evoke creativity
Orange passion sunsets
Deep sea blues
Tulip red
Plunge into creativity
Immersing my soul in destiny love

Margaret Alden:
I have to write daily – if not, it’s like my whole body is drained of its life. I have to let my soul fly free and let the words dribble on the page like honey from the Gods. I have to write daily because it is God’s gift to me. I know I’ve got the writing bug because if I don’t write, I’m not whole.
