Angels Drown
My soul is caressed with angel kisses as it tries to drown out my psyche’s lament.

Stoned Razor Blades
Stoned razor blades,
Strewn over the floor,
Drenched entirely with blood –
As another lost soul bleeds out,
Leaving nothing behind but her fragile skin.
Her mask was cracked.
She could not escape the voices
That were eternally calling her home.

Fragile souls often are more gifted and know what it is to operate out of love.
Screaming Bulb
What happens when your dreams fall from the sky.
When the moon loses its light one bulb at a time,
Can you hear your dreams screaming?

Margaret and I decided to try something different and created a chain of poetry. We decided to see what we would come up with if one of us wrote a poem and then the other wrote what poetry that might inspire in us. Then the other would do so – and-so-on…
Since it was my idea I wrote the first idea. We decided I might start with a poem inspired by a “colour”. Perhaps because I am rather taken with starting the day with a Haiku I instinctively wrote a Haiku and started with my poem “Green, Life in the Raw”.
This led to this 10 poem chain:
We each have our own style and so the poems while inspired by each other are very different from each other and cover a broad spectrum of topics.
I hope you enjoy this project. We plan to do it again some time in the future.
