The Cherub Face from the HeaderPoem Chain #1

Margaret and I decided to try something different and created a chain of poetry. We decided to see what we would come up with if one of us wrote a poem and then the other wrote what poetry that might inspire in us. Then the other would do so – and-so-on…

Since it was my idea I wrote the first idea. We decided I might start with a poem inspired by a “colour”. Perhaps because I am rather taken with starting the day with a Haiku I instinctively wrote a Haiku and started with my poem “Green, Life in the Raw”.

This led to this 10 poem chain:

  1. Green, Life in the Raw –  DWPenner
  2. Raw – magsalden
  3. Heart Fires –  DWPenner
  4. Passion Bleeds – magsalden
  5. Vanilla Plane –  DWPenner
  6. Tinge – magsalden
  7. Angels Winging From Earth to Sky –  DWPenner
  8. Not Forgotten – magsalden
  9. Flowers Wave –  DWPenner
  10. Prosperity Rain – magsalden

We each have our own style and so the poems while inspired by each other are very different from each other and cover a broad spectrum of topics.

I hope you enjoy this project. We plan to do it again some time in the future.

Collide Sensitively

When we collide it doesn’t have to make a mess.

You’re a gift from heaven above –
Your mission on Earth
To show me the true meaning of love.
I might push you away
And say I’m better on my own,
But in my heart
You have made your home.

God has allowed you to see
The tenderness in me,
So you can caress my skin sensitively.
Then ours souls will collide as one.

Complex Enigma

God; is the only one not restricted to a box.

Life source, Higher power, God; is the only one not restricted to a box. If this being is, man has placed him there. We are not puppeteers, placed on Earth to tug his strings. Higher power is not instant coffee. His lessons and perplexities take our life’s journey to fathom. If then, limited understanding is gained.

God is not a plastic surgeon. His cuts are far from precise. He does not sew neatly to cover up our scars.

On the first step of my journey, my foot will move forward soon. Your journey is different from mine. We are all travelers moving. Take courage along for the ride.
